Connect the Parks
2008 Campaign

Thank you for your interest in contributing to the Connect the
Parks initiative, a project of the Jersey City Waterfront Parks
Conservancy. The Connect the Parks initiative is dedicated to restore,
enhance, protect, and preserve open spaces on Jersey City's waterfront
to improve the quality of life for current and future generations.

The Jersey City waterfront is home to one of the last undeveloped open
spaces along the New York / New Jersey Waterfront. In order to secure
this precious resource, in 2007, a concerned group of residents formed
the Jersey City Waterfront Parks Conservancy (JCWPC), taking as its
first project the protection and renovation of this waterfront parkland.

The goal of the JCWPC is to connect the disparate parcels of waterfront
park land to create one large contiguous and properly managed park for
the community.

With your help, and support from individuals and area businesses, we
can develop a world class waterfront park, preserving the last segment
of the New York/New Jersey Harbor, to be enjoyed by many
generations to come.

As each day this precious resource erodes, time is of the essence.
